Went out today launching from Cal Park as usual with two great fisherman Jan Jan and Ddude2611Fishing.
Hit Cal River mouth, turn around basin 1, Crowley's near 95th and around South Slip.
Water still extremely cloudy in all these area's. Haven't seen the river so cloudy for so long, strange.  Few perch caught few keepers.

Wondered into North Slip. Water was extremely clear. Great to see. Was packed with shore fisherman on both sides. Spot locked in the middle of the slip honoring the shore fisherman space. Started to catch immediately and ended up salvaging a grim day into a great day.

Can't wait for the river to clear up. Think that is keeping us from catching.

Be safe out there

Had a good time on the water today for sure, slowest start this season but found them in the end and had fun the whole time. Lots of bait balls and some decent arcs of perch off the bottom in the river, caught some, but the north slip definitely produced today, good to see some fish being caught by everyone.

Are they running all of the shore fishermen out like they have in the past?

Getting run out is hit/miss, depends on which security guard/company is working. Go out and have fun, if you get run out, hopefully you'll have some fish to eat later!

I thought the Cal. Park launch was like a hazard zone and it was safer to launch out of Hammond?  So, did they repair the Cal. Park launch?

No repair yet. Just stay to the left all good.
Can launch from Hammond a lot better. Longer run to the river. If waves change you gonna get splashed.

Not this past sat. Dec. 4th. Caught a few in spirts. Hard to tell bite,  little nibbles then felt like they were picking bait up, missed a bunch, mainly small

Ventured out today, lake was good but the perch were not so good.
Started at North Slip. By end of trip we boated approximately 24, kept 11.
Not a ton of shore fisherman but they seemed to be in the same boat (haha) as us. Few catches.
Used minnows. Tried raw shrimp one bite.

Tried mouth of river, south slip, first turn around basin and Crowleys. Not only did we not catch a perch in these area's but the graph was very empty with any markings.
Water clarity North slip still the best. Might change after this big wind/rain storm. River and other area's we fished have improved.

Hope to get out Sunday. Sea ya out there.

Se Safe and share the water with everyone.
