Hit the waters off of the donut in 34 to 45 feet this morning. Marked some pods but only one fish plus a few light hits. It was a good 12 incher. Fun to get out but they have not started in the waters off of Portage based on the results today, but can't catch them at home, had to get out and try.

went out in my kayak and several guys were fishing out front w/o a single hit.....i was going for steelhead as the ogden dunes shore fishermen had been picking up a few.....i fished all around the mouth up to ~40 fow without marking any suspicious looking perch....i also did not get a hit trolling approx 2 mph.....

i forgot to mention those "guys" were perch fishing
