I always like shiner minnows (if they are a good size) over fatheads. My issue is how easy they die compared to fat heads. Bubbler is on the whole time and I change water. Anyone have tips or tricks to keep them alive.

I've had no luck over a day or 2, maybe it's the water temps, I can usually keep fat heads a month or more if there not to old when I get them. Have built an aireated cooler with filter in it.

If you can keep them aerated in a refrigerator they will last awhile. (Or keep the water cold)

Use a cooler with an aerator. Put in a frozen water bottle over night and some G Juice. I've had good luck doing this.

Get an inexpensive aquarium pump, put the stone in the water, plug it in, put the minnow bucket in the fridge and your minnows will last for days.
