Fished on a buddy's boat, North of the gong in IL waters on Sun. All our action was in 77-82' of water. Green was the hot color, magnum spoons took all but 1 fish. We went 6 for 8. 3 lakers, 2 kings, 1 steelhead. Big king was 16#. Had 2 releases on dipsey (2.5 setting, 120' back). Large King caught on leadcore (8 color, I think), all other fish came on downriggers 37-47' down. Marked a few bait balls and lots of fish scattered 15-50'. Water temps ranged from 62-68. Best speed for us was 2.7-3.1 at the ball.
