What's better than a fishing trip where you catch more than you can eat at one meal and come home exhausted from cranking in fish? Not much!

Lots of boats working the #4 and north port wall this morning. Steelhead action seemed to be an early bite, but the gaspergoos stayed active all morning. Easiest fish to bring to the net? The steelhead.

Most of the gaspergoos required Grampa Ray and 12 year old A.J. to tag team the fish to bring them to net.

After the last goo, they called the trip early due to fatigue and heat (not a puff of wind) paid full price and a nice tip for my wife.

Wifey gets the tips for putting up with me and washing my stinky fishing clothes.

A couple of the goos were mid to upper teens in size.

Hey Mike. You and Rainmaker left early. I thought for sure both of you had a tip on a hot spot !!! It was a lot slower than the past 4 days. We ended up with 2 steelies & 1 King. Caught at least 6 goos. Some of them fight pretty good.

No radio chatter so I don't know what was up with Rich. As I said, my peeps were beat. The last gaspergoo whipped their butts and we cut the trip short by an hour.

Surprised to hear you caught a king! I figured the water temps warmed enough to move them out.

Good going!

Water was still 49 to 51ish 36' down when I was out Monday night B/N. And my buddy said he found the cold water right when he got back to the number 4 yesterday, (Tuesday) they went east looking for perch, couldn't find any good sizers but they found some good silver!!
