Wanting to come up, just wondered what you guys think...and I'd be fishing Michigan city...not the hole in the wall. Supposed to calm down overnight, just not sure how big it got today.

Looking at the cameras I just don't know. I'm supposed to go in the morning too. I think we will have to make a decision then.

I think it will be less smooth than preferred, but think it will be fishable.

Michigan City, not so good. The wind is honking straight west. (That's onshore at MC.) Should be fine from Gary to EC to Hammond.

Kinda sounds like I was thinking. Don't feel like fighting the crowd and stench over west.

I was hoping to get out Sat. too, we have the grandkids this weekend and my grandson who is 10 loves to fish. Planning on going out of Portage if the weather allows. We don't usually fish weekends but it is the only time I'm able to get him out. Just going to check the forecast and web cams in the morning & make the call then. Good luck to all that gets out. You guys should be fine this weekend. Might be a little left over at first light in the morning tomorrow. Good luck for those going out! Will be looking forward to the reports.

Just came from MC lakefront (loading bro's boat at marina for possible trip tomorrow) and its nasty windy with sloppy chop on top of 3 to 4-footers. And wind chill. Certainly unfishable now.
Believe whatever forecast you want.
Charter captains were expecting it to lay and be fishable in morning. I suggested to brother (Three Buoys) to wait until afternoon, mostly because that is when I get off work.
