We fished the ship canal out to the 3rd light on inland. Took 1 fish most boats had one or none. Some did slightly better. Then since we stuck it out enjoying the warm weather we stayed later than planned and we docked. As I walked to the truck my friend then started cleaning the single fish. After pulling the boat out shortly after there was a truck speeding by with a smaller aluminum tan boat. Then I see the damage bent windshield and a 1/4 deep chunk of fiberglass missing from my gunnel. Then after talking to the 10 people standing around they seen that same tan boat sideways at the dock hitting his outboard into the adjacent dock to my boat. No one seen him hit me and of course no one took down a plate number or boat number. But that's ok Dnr and coast guard will be looking into the security cameras at the marina tomorrow morning. I understand shit happens I am pretty sure you hit the gas forward instead of reverse in a panic. Just wish you would have stepped up like a grown man and admitted your mistake. Insurance is a good thing and may not have cost you much long term. But instead I am left with the complete mess. I don't think this person is a member here but a lot of people look at this site. I hope this person will contact me but I doubt they will. If you don't get caught. I launch out of the south end every weekend so eventually we will cross paths again even if you avoid Hammond for a while. I would prefer us to be able to laugh about this later.

Is it too soon for jokes yet?

Post the pics bill - maybe somebody saw something. The person at fault needs to come forward............. Hopefully they will.

Sure is buddy. To bad you were not there bc I would have been with the boat and it would not have been docked.

Ouch im really sorry that happened to you bill. Good thing for insurance shitty thing to have until its fixed. Hopefully it gets figured out quickly.

Pretty sure the a-hole that hit you doesn't have insurance. Lots of great people out there but it seems these days there are just as many that need a good ass kicking! I feel for you and hope you get a chance to confront these fine specimens.
