TOPIC:

Jeff (Dirty) and I participated in the first annual trolling for the troops event. Sponsored by church tackle, tackle haven and other sponsors. Wanted to give a shout out to everyone who made this happen it was a great event that involved 17 boats and over 50 veterans along with a ton of prizes and bbq food. Coast guard also took their time out of the day to parade us all in, great experience.

We had 2 veterans on board with jeff running the rods and I taking us to the hot spots. Fish were scattered when we started out in 2s and 3s but the lake laid down nicely and we were able to put 7 fish in the boat for our vets. Fish were in shallow and up high early, out deeper and down later. No real pattern and fish were bunched up.

Ended 3 lakers 2 coho 3 kings. (Biggest 8lbs) event day biggest was a 26lb king.

It was awesome to volunteer our time to take these guys fishing, they were a blast to have on the boat and loved the stories. Looking forward to doing it again next yr. Now tourny time in the a.m. wish us luck.

It was alot of fun - cant wait for next year!

What tournament was today?

tackle haven last leg triffecta. 35 boats ish. 20 probably weighed in. We went to same gps as yesterday but it was not working for us today. Finished 0 for 2 first skunk of the yr. The 2 we did fight felt like good silver fish though. 250 copper and swt down 70. In 90 to 115 fow. Put some fish in the boat there yesterday but just wasn't our day. I know a few boats I was talking to had similar results from the 15s down to the 00s

Way to go Tim & Jeff! Thank you very much for taking out our vets. You should feel very proud of yourselfs!

It was great to hear war stories and fun overseas stories all day.
