Is this a record? It put up a good fight in 45 ft of water and wrapped up two dipsey rigs before we could get it subdued.

Nice one but no record. We had a 20 footer about 8" thick. Had to circle a couple of times. LOL

I caught a 10 pound downrigger weight once at the ship canal in about 30 feet of water. Dragging it across the bottom but getiing it up into netting range was really tough! You can lift, but you can't drop the rod tip fast enough to really pick up much line.

Earlier this year we were trolling for coho. We caught a regular size stinger spoon over 30 FOW with a thinfin on a flatline. How does this happen? There was no line attached to the damn spoon. This was the most unexplainable thing Ive ever caught. To this day, still cannot figure out how this is even possible.

Sounds like a fish had the lure in its mouth. Hit your line and the lure attached to yours.
