Take a look at the Miller Beach cam this morning! Soft water. Not quite so good at MC and the Joe cam, but all are better than yesterday! Anyone over by East Chicago/Hammond, report in. Ice in harbor or on the lake?

As of yesterday East Chicago was about half open, most ice was at the ramp. The bay over to Buffington was covered with sheet ice. Iput a vedieo on my FB page John Warren.

As of 3/10 Portage had about 30 feet of broken up ice blocking the harbor at 8am. By 1130 the ice filled half the harbor from the west winds.

Got out to Portage this afternoon and its wide open. A dozen trailers in the lot. Did some casting from the breakwater just because I could but nothing was that hungry. Saw one silver fish roll right in front of me but that was the extent of the excitement.

Michigan City is wide open as of this morning. Last sheet ice was just about gone last night and melted overnight. And the wind blew out all the pack ice
