Trolled in front out of Michigan City yesterday evening. Worked 30 to 55 fow with no action. Ran spoons and crankbaits. Tried changing the speed up a few times. Marked some fish out front but no takers. Good luck out there guys.
Has anyone been out deep? Any reports?

was at Portage yesterday and got skunked too. Ran out deep later in morning around 11:00 and didn't do any better. tough bite yesterday...but I really didn't mark much bait out deep. So might have just been in wrong area.

I went to MC this morning with no luck came back and tried all around the mouth of the ditch and the #4 with only 2 goo's!

We got 17 skams this morning in quick order. Then the wife woke me in a hotel in Muncie - time to go to orientation she says. Damnit!

Fishing has been tough inshore and offshore lately but the stars always align when you least expect it.

When you guys say fishing deep what are you thinking? My boat should be fixed any day now so time to start planning. You thinking 120 FOW or 200? On second thought there are some Perch around. Hmmm!

I was at the state line and I have never even came close to reaching 150ft, much less 200ft from Portage
