Launched from Portage and headed north to 3 corners. 3'+ rollers out there so just pointed the bow with waves and kept going. The decent news, went 6-8. The bad news, 5 shaker coho and 1 8lbs Laker. Pretty sure the other two lakers as well. Did mark some bait so perhaps that is keeping some fish around. Might still be worth a trip or two this year if the weather cooperates and well, at least, your fishing!

What time did you go out, and what did you catch them on?

Launched 6:45AM out of Portage. Set lines in 80' trolled NE to 130' and fished to 1:00. Fish came from 55 - 80' on the riggers and 300' copper. Once the shakers showed up went to larger baits to discourage then like J Plugs and big flashers but all hits came on spoons. Temp was 50 degrees down 75, 48 or so at 80 down. Most marks were at 90 to 75' range but lakers surprisingly came at about 60' which as 60+ degree water.

Seems like for about 4-5 nows this has been the case. We have had plenty of trips in that time with similar results, but we were generally deeper. It seems to me, those small trout hitting in warmer waters are the dumb fish - thats why they are all small. The bigger smart fish are up north......or at least thats my speculation ;)
