Hello, I have never jigged November Lakers but think I'm going to try it this year. Anyone on this board do this? Any success around Pastrick? I figure from there I can go to Cal park to Gary Light. If I launch out of Portage I'll go right around there. Any tips or info will be appreciated, thanks

Well I have not done the jigging thing in November but have trolled for them in the past & I know several guys that do it that way. The Cal Park wall/gap is a spot I hear mentioned. Also the reef in front of the port is another. Good luck be sure to post the results.

Jigging works very well, I have had some great days on the lake. Stop trolling all the time and started jigging. Can be very productive.

Thanks, I heard about the reef in front of the port, I wasn't sure about Cal park, thanks for the info. I never launched out of Hammond marina but if I'm hitting the wall gap that looks like the place to launch from instead of EC . I will post results if we go on the planned outings.

Had a 15 fish day my first time jogging at portage...never came close to repeating that. 1/2 - 3/4 oz blade baits is what I’ve always tried.

That sounds like a great day. Have my walleye blades ready to go along with some 3 inch tubes and twisters. Thanks for info

There is a certain local guide who holds seminars that suggest 5" Gulp tails, white or chartreuse, on 1/2 oz jig heads.

Yes, i have attended said seminar myself years ago. Ever since then I've always wanted to get out there and try and never did. Think this is the year.

Just wondering, is there a reason for not mentioning his name? I know who your talking about , just curious if there is a protocol that I don't know about.

Well, I paid for the seminar, so sharing is probably OK. That said, the knowledge the guides acquire is their stock in trade and I'm not sure about giving it away. My hat is off to those guys.
