Anyone getting out Friday or Saturday morning, would sure appreciate your reports. Good and bad, it will help me immensely. Contemplating coming up for a Saturday evening/Sunday morning outing. Thanks in advance! Will report if we come up.

I intend to get out tomorrow (friday). The weather looks iffy with the strong winds so not sure how that will all work out but I will surely put up a report either way.

Yeah I know what you're up against. I am wanting to come up myself but without a lot of good reports and the threat of high waves off shore makes it tough to pull the trigger. There are some positive reports on other sites though. Seems if fishing was good in the Portage or M.C. areas you would hear of it. The big spike in gas prices is another deal buster for me.

If worst comes to worst I do plan on coming up for the next tourney and fishing. I am still hoping I'll have a crew of two from down here to fish with me. If plan "A" fails maybe someone from up there can fish with me and steal the tourney? You never know, they say it's lucky to kiss a red head even luckier to fish with one. :P

Yea gas prices suck right now - especially where you come from. That is a haul!

Hopefully I will have something good to report. Unfortunately we wont be on the water until 9am so we will miss primetime.....and hopefully the waves allow us out there.

Thanks split. Looks like it's going to be nice Saturday evening and Sunday morning, planning in going out of MC Saturday evening and probably new buffalo Sunday morning since MC doesn't have any ramps you can launch at pre dawn. Looks a bit bumpy out there today!

got rods in the water today at 9:30am. 2 steelhead by 10:30 then dead. Pulled rods in the afternoon to find out we were dragging around a shaker king on a rigger......ugh for god knows how long.

Well got out today around 9 with dirtyx. Took a rookie out who's history is Canada fishing and tried to turn it into a great time. Landed 3 for 2 and he learned the meaning of Monkey puke. I think he is hooked but time will tell. Water had good swells in the dirty boat today but manageable. It's always nice to be in yur own boat but since dirtyx likes paying for fuel I'm not complaining. Sonar active in 90 feet and good noted thermal levels. Fish better under cloudy ski and wish the sun did not peak with Temps around 90. The role had good fight with 2 steelhead and one small king but at least it was not a wash. Dirtyx may be selling clothing but needs to fine tune big swells and one hell of bumpy ride. Still had fun and maybe the rookie will come back. Please feel free to recommend to dirtyx to check his riggers at least every hour for small straggling fish that scare the big ones away. Lol.
