Took my 16" deep vee out on the lake Sunday looking for fish for the first time. Met someone pulling out at Portage for some tips, Thanks again.
Trolled around the 50' line at about 2-2.5 mph. Got one hit but lost it to being surprised!  Waves started getting uncomfortable, so we headed in.
Boat worked well, but will have to make a few adjustments. I'll be back!

Thanks for the report! Lots of people here with knowledge that would be willing to help. There is a search function and lots of information there or you can private message us also. P.S. I moved this to salmon and trout area on the forum.

Glad you got out.  You can look at some of my first posts here from my profile as I was just starting out when I joined the group.  I have a lot of questions for starting out and lots of great replies.  Otherwise as others have said ,ask away most people here are more than happy to help you out.

Welcome! Tons of great people here and that’s  what makes this site great is the fantastic group of anglers on here willing to help out people, whether newcomers, novices, regulars, etc. We can all learn from one another and since I joined a few weeks ago, have already learned a lot. I’m later to the game than many here are, but I do have a couple years of trolling experience so far and through everyone, hope to keep learning more!  

I think we learn something new every year.

We all learn stuff each trip. Every trip is a learning experience.
