My friends from Sioux City were here midweek and we had some fun fishing. Wednesday was the best when we were able to get offshore on the Indiana Shoals and target Lake Trout. Action was way hot from whatever depth a 100 copper runs down to the bottom.  We weren't brave enough - I like to think we were just cautious enough to stay in the Bay on Thursday. Biggest fish of the trip hit a 5 color near Buffington - 17 pound brown trout!  

 

It sounds like a great trip. That’s a shiny and big brown trout. I haven’t seen any of those in the south end for a very long while now.

Nice brown! Every time I release a 20 incher, I tell him good luck and hope I’ll get to see him again as a 20lber. Every time I release a 15lber, I tell her good luck and hope I’ll see her as 25lber. Never understand why anybody wants to kill one.
