I witnessed history on Saturday while I was in Ludington when I saw the new Great Lakes record King salmon weighed in by the Michigan DNR. It was his first salmon he ever caught in his life. It was caught in 200 foot of water on a 300 copper while fishing with a Moonshine Raspberry carbon spoon. He caught it while fishing on a charter boat. The Salmon was 48 inches long. Not only is this fish a state record for Michigan, it is the largest King ever caught in all of the great lakes, what a fish!
