Went two for two near the mouth of the ditch this morning. One steel, one king, both on Glow-spoons. No other bites, didn't see or hear of anyone else hooking up. Plenty of fish marks but were they salmon? Carp? Goos? That's why they call them marks not photos!

Joe: Gaspergoos are no fun? Gaspergoos might be ugly. They might be hard to filet. You certainly don't get as much meat off them as you would a salmon or trout. Those who have never tried them think them bony and tasteless. (wrong.) But these big ol' goos are definitely fun to catch in Lake Michigan. I put them in the category of a brown trout, pound for pound. In Lake Erie other than big smallmouth, they are the toughest fighters available.

Wow those fish look so very different than the ones we catch down south. Those are a colorful fish compared to the whitish/grey colored numbers we catch around here. Covered in a nasty grey slime and algae they are not something I want to catch yet alone fillet and eat. Your 'goos' look like a fish I would try on.

The picture is from Dale Hollow on the KY-TN border near Bowling Green, not a lake Michigan pix.

No matter, Dale Hollow must be a much different fishery than Barkley Lake and the Ohio River were I have caught those fish. Isn't DH a spring fed body of water? It is evidently much clearer by the looks of the fish.

Lake Michigan Goo caught last year in MC. Actually caught several that day. Maybe a goo tournament should be in order? Lol
