TOPIC:

I took my nephews out Saturday to show them the ropes. We launched out of Portage and headed straight out from #4 to 50 FOW. I was an absolutely perfect day on the lake. There were lots of boats already out by the Donut and East. We got setup and headed that way at about 6:30.

We ran 9 lines:

2 Downriggers (down 38') with Flash/Flies
2 150 copper with magnum spoons
2 100 copper with standard spoons
2 flat lines with keel weights and dodger flies
1 dipsy with magnum spoon

First hit came right away on 150 copper with a magnum glow Super Frog at the end of the break wall in 48 FOW. Most of our fish came north of the Donut in 45-53 FOW. All setups caught fish. We finished 11 for 15 (10 Coho, 1 Steelhead). We stayed out a little too long trying to catch a limit and got poured on, but it was a great day on the lake.
