Hello,  I see that some silver is starting to come into the 60 ft range with some catches coming out of portage.  My question is do the same conditions exist in front of Gary light , or would that just be a waste of time? Or the shoals on front of Pastrick's? I never fished salmon in the fall so trying to figure this out.  Thanks for any info

In my opinion it would be a waste of time, you need to go where they are stocked. Right now that is portage and michigan city. I know they stock east chicago but not sure on the stocking record there.

Fish are homing back to where they are stocked right now, so fishing those areas is best.

East Chicago should have a few fish returning. 1 and 2 year olds I believe. They're stocked in the marina, so that is where they home back to.
