Got out for a couple hours this afternoon, Friday the 8th. Was hoping to find a couple perch around the Port, but ended up with a pile of lakers. I think we finished with 8 or 9, I got one tiny little bastard about 6inches long, so I guess the natural reproduction is happening. We had the trolling rods in the boat in case we couldn't find perch, but never used them. We got a couple on perch flies with minnows and the rest on blade baits. Water was 39 at the reef, 41 in the ditch. The lakers were about as much fun as the possibly could be on ultralights and 6lb flours or braid, but they were still lakers... I'll put couple pics up later.

Nice fish. Haven't caught any lakers yet - figure I need to try and get one or two this year since it seems the lakers are going to be around for a long time.
