I needed to replace my bow navigation light. I selected a modern LED powered one instead of incandescent. Keep up with the times, right? Long story short, I learned when doing this (learned the hard way) that unlike old fashioned, 12V incandescent lights which don't have a red/black (positive + negative -) wire, the LED's do. And that's important. The wires from the console to the bow light weren't red/black either. It won't work if you don't have the polarity correct. When switching to LEDs check twice, crimp once.
