Does anyone know of a reel repair facility that will work on the older Daiwa trolling reels? One of my 47H reels has a stripped out level wind worm shaft and probably a few other related parts. Tuna’s reel trouble won’t work on them because of Daiwa not making parts anymore. I sure hate to pitch a really nice reel because of it.
I would even be interested in a reel that may not work right but then level wind still tracks right. Thanks for any information.

Are the 47C's the old Diawa reals with cast aluminum side plates?  If so, I believe I have 2, which are unused, and another, which is used lightly.  I can check tonight.  I am will to part with these.

Here is a few pics of the reel. I believe the sides are a reinforced nylon plastic with stainless reinforcement rings.

Don:

I do have 3 Diawa 47C's.  Two appear to have never been used, and the third used, but well functional.  If you like this model reel, I am willing to part with them.  Shoot me a offer.  Also there is sticker on one stating anodized aluminum frame and side plates.  Pretty robust design.
