I keep reading about keeping the Asian carp out of the great lakes. I live on the Illinois river. My "back yard fishing hole" has been devastated. These things need to be eliminated not just stopped.

Yes these need to be eliminated, but my understanding is they are a river fish and probably would not like the actual lake. It's hard to believe some haven't gotten in at this point.
