Sorry for this last minute request. But since many people put things off to the last minute, if you can help, you may have waited until now to fulfill my request anyway. This request is only good from right now (6:55AM on Friday, January 20 for 24 hours), in fact, I hope the admins of this site pull it tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow morning I’m meeting with my website guy to upgrade my website in basically it’s first make over since we built and posted it back in 1999. That makes it 159 years old in dog years.

Here’s what I ask. Pretend you don’t know me or have barely heard of me. You have either had a hankering to go to Lake Michigan to fish but never did or you are for some reason in Northwest Indiana and looking for an outdoor activity.

Regardless of why, you have clicked up www.brother-nature.com on your PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Use what you would normally use for such a task or try it with a couple of devises.

1) What’s your first impression of the site?
2) How easy is it to find the information you want?
3) What information do you want to find?
4) Is there any information missing?

So, what's the verdict? Are you changing or adding anything on the site?

Some slight alterations were completed and a few others are still pending. My website guy does it on the side so it's not going to all go live at once. If you go to brother-nature.com now and get a screen with a gray background, you need to clear your browser cache and try again. The new one has a deep maroon background. There have been a few changes on some of the back pages you click to from the home page; still some tweaking to do on some of them.

One of the biggest things is the margins, for lack of a better description. When the site was made originally, smart phones were non-existent. computer monitors were nearly square like old black and white TVs. Evidently, making a site look good for older monitors, wide screens, tablet and phones that are normally held 90 degrees to computer screens is problematic.

I appreciate all who chimed in on the do-over and many of the suggestions will be apparent when we are done. I'll post here when the project is complete.
