My nephew Trevor Schmitt is on his way back home from Afganistan. He is in the Army serving as an Apache helicopter pilot. He commanded a squadron of Apaches and the ground crews. He did very well during his deployment. He lost no one that I know of in combat and is well respected for such a very young man. He not only served our country to the best of his ability he also had to deal with divorce during his deployment. One can only imagine the heartache combined with the task of keeping himself and his command ready and safe.
He was awarded the Bronze Star last week and yesterday he received his Captain's bars. He is made of the right stuff and our country could use more like him. I am bringing him up next season to fish the lake. Please say hi if you are out that day I will make it known. Here is some pics.

I thank him for his service to us and our country. You are correct too Don we need more men of our younger generation to be like him. My generation and younger is absolutely disgraceful as a whole. Definitely let us know when you guys are coming up. If I don't get to meet him wish him the best of luck moving into the future.

Yes I will let the site know. He going to be in Evansville before Thanksgiving back home with family. He is hoping to get a post at Ft. Campbell,KY which is a 2 hour drive to Evansville. If you watch the antifa crap that goes on the west coast and east coast you can see the difference between them and the mid-western values I like to believe our youth have.
