What lines do u put dodger flashers and Spin doctors on? New to using them this year.
I was putting them on my down riggers and never get anything on them.

It has been a long time since I ran a bunch of dodgers, but I used to run the "00" dodgers about 15 foot off of my cannon balls on the riggers, I would run them deep with a squid or fly on them, and troll just fast enough to get them to thump really good, never roll over too much. Spin Doctors, and Hoochie Momma's on the other hand were usually on dipsey divers set on "3" and pulled to the side. I always ran a snubber with them. I suspect that is still true. It has been a while. I would also stack "000" dodgers over the "00", about 10 foot above and run them just a bit farther behind the first set usually setting both cannonballs within a few feet of each other in depth. Back in the "olden days" things could get really harry really quick with triple header kings on a small boat.. Good Luck.

From my experience, sometimes their hot and sometimes not. They are but a tool in the box. Usually once the thermocline sets in, they get more consistent. However, earlier they have their days where they are on fire, and days when they do nothing.

There should be a ton of opinions coming I would guess all based on everyone's unique experience. Will be a good topic to follow!

I run them on my divers and my lowest down rigger most days. If they aren’t taking hits you can pull them and swap in something else, but they pull fish into your spread and even if they aren’t getting hit they may be drawing hits on your other presentations. I run the 00 dodgers on my long lines also when coho and steelhead are around but less so as the season goes on.

That's pretty much what the plan is for tomorrow. One on downrigger. Then another on dipsy

I like to run then on dipseys or riggers. Dont put then to far back from the ball or else your asking for trouble. Even if your flasher or dodger is not catching fish during a trip i am a firm believer they are pulling fish into your spread which ups your hook ups on other rods. I look at my spread as a team and i usually build from the attractors and out from there.

Earlier in the year it's 00 Dodgers then upgrade to 0 dodgers with 8 inch flashers. Later in the summer in a week or so from now a 10 -12 inch flasher will start producing more for kings. Bigger isnt always better, spring kings love the 8 8nch flashers.
