Fish Town is a neat place to visit if you have never been.

Always interesting reading these stories. Depending on the slant or the spin of the writer or the publication, they seemingly can't help but put in a paragraph predicting what is going to happen in the near future and another paragraph pointing the current problem is caused by man made climate change, inept bureaucracies, heartless politicians, Santa's reindeer and quoting opinions from the Farmer's Almanac, seasoned climatologists or wooly worms about what the future impends.

Truth is, no one knows. In the previous high water mark cited in the article which occurred in 1986, the situation was resolved in less than a year when a record drought (also caused by climate change, inept bureaucracies, heartless politicians and Santa's reindeer) dropped the flooded lake levels by three feet.

Truth is, it's going to be one of three things: HIGHER, LOWER OR UNCHANGED.

If there's a significant point to be made it's that these structures need to be saved, most of the money has been raised to save them the problem seems to be the bureaucratic foot-dragging . Quote from the article: “You just can’t go in and lift a building or put in a new foundation,” said Holmes. Permit applications have to go through several different agencies.
Call those bureaucrats and politicians, tell them to make a law or regulation requiring Mother Nature to need a permit to raise or lower the lake.
