when coming up there from the south, how do I get to the Gary Light you keep talking about?? normally, I am either in my boat or at the platform casting. thanks

Approximate coordinates are 41°37'38.5"N 87°19'23.6"W

(or in decimal degrees, 41.627350, -87.323221)

Launch your boat at East Chicago, go east until you hit it. It's about a 6 mile boat ride

Or, you can launch at Portage and go west. That's a bit longer, maybe 7.5 miles from the mouth of Burns Ditch

Here's what it looks like from the cockpit of an F/A 18D Hornet when I was joyriding with one of the Blue Angels The lighthouse is at the end of that breakwall extending out from the shore and the discharge is tucked up on the east side of the breakwall where it meets the shoreline.
