The weather forecast this weekend is predicting winds out of the south and west in the 15 mph range.

What are the wave conditions out of Portage with strong south winds or west winds? I would imagine the water would be pretty flat if it were blowing from the south as long as you fished nearer to shore. But what about west winds?

I was planning to fish out of Portage this weekend. I’m just wondering if conditions will be fishable.

West at high speed would be no good. South and even a little southeast is a do able as long as you stay close.
