Hello,
I am considering docking my boat for the season in one of the local marinas, Is there on that anyone could suggest for a 23 FT boat? and what is the approximate cost for the season?
Considering an upgrade and looking at the options,
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Depends what you want for ammenities. I dock at Marina Shores and a number of guys do. Absolutely love it, has pool, fish cleaning, restaurant, store, fuel and pump out and just as quick access to lake as the ramps. Marinas have been full with waiting lists lately but worth giving a call.

Price is going to be more at marina shores because of the things listed. Cheaper option is the public marina and doynes.

Depending on where you go you will be looking at $2-3k on average per year for a slip.  Could be a little less, could be more - lots of variables.

Supernaut did you get your slip at Marina Shores?  I know I received my call today and made my reservation.  I was just about ready to pull the trigger on East Chicago, too.

Come to Michigan City!

Out of Michigan City, you have 3 options at that size. Washington Park is the ideal choice, as you are right on the lake. That said, there is a waiting list usually for the 25’ slips up there which go for $1725. Trail Creek marina, which has water and electric at the slip, along with restrooms, showers, and a fish cleaning station, now goes for $1300 a season.  Final option, you can go to the other side of the river which is Sprague Point, which has bathrooms but no power or water at the dock for $825 a season.

Another option is on trailer storage at Trail Creek Marina, which gives you access to all the amenities for even less per year. Definitely the ideal choice if you have a boat with a trailer that’s  easy in / out and you don’t care about a slip, but you also don’t want to haul your rig to and fro every day.

With my old boat, I was slipped at Trail Creek marina. It’s about a 15 minute ride to the lake as long as there is no train traffic (Amtrak Rail turn bridge). From  my current slip in Washington Park, it’s a 2 minute trip from my slip to the pier heads.

Hello scoffer, Thank you for your note this is very helpful, I am shopping for a boat and most probably it will be a 23Ft walkaround similar to Grady-White Adventure, it is coming slowly as usual, but I am trying to get all the potential loose ends worked out and heve all information in hand once my decision is final, Thank you for your help.
