I know someone has told us what to use but I didn't need it then but I do now, what do you use for the biting flies?

Sawyer with 20% Picaridin.  Next best thing thick cotton socks, long cotton pants, long sleeve cotton chambray shirts with collar, and booney hat. just my 2 cents.

Always used balls myself but with this weather they haven’t been all that bad this year….yet and normally not all that bad in August.

Picaridin works even better than thick socks. I've seen bloody, thick socks. Too bad you cans spray it on the fishing line to repel the fish hook fleas.

Totally agree. I bought a big can at Walmart in May. We sprayed the back edge of the Hardtop and we didn't have problems after that. Haven't been out for a month so we'll see what happens next trip out
