Something happened to the bouy during the last storm. Wave height not reporting and you look at the camera its laying on the beach.

Looks like we may have lost the buoy for the remainder of the year.
Update for September 4, 2025 - the Michigan City buoy slipped its mooring and ended up on the shore of Indiana. As this time, it is not known if the buoy will returned to the water or pulled for the season. Thank you for your support!

Yeah unfortunately that's air temp... as Dave said the buoy mooring cable snapped and the buoy is on the beach, and the temp string is on land. 

If you look at the Cook buoy the temps are still 70 top to bottom
