I know this may seem trivial but I have recently used this stuff to get the remains of registration stickers off my boat. It works very well with little effort. I sprayed the residue 2 or three times and wiped the area with a clean rag after each spray. It left me with a nice clean painted surface to apply my new stickers to. I am sure there are other things that work but this was fast.

I have a heat gun also. When you start to peel the sticker after heating does the "voids" still remain on the surface of the boat?

only if you get it a little too hot, else she peels nice. I usually warm the whole thing up, then get it hotter on a corner, and slowly peel down following the gun.
