My guys took me to put in bay for my bachelor party this weekend. Chartered a walleye trip for the 2nd. Took our 5 man limit in 2 hrs. Just south if the island in 35 fow. Casting crawler harnesses and giving it a 5 count then slow reel.

30 walleye caught a ton of drum, some catfish and white bass.

Fun trip and I HIGHLY recommend visiting that island for many reasons.

We were not at the island but basically same area earlier this year and did really well. Glad you had a good time and caught a bunch of fish.

Sorry for the late report but we did well on limits of eaters June 7-10. Trolling Flicker minnows out of huron in 27-32' out in front of the castle and toward the n/e paralleling the shore. Ran baits 45, 55, and 65' behind the boards at 2mph (gps). That will get you 10-14' down so fish are coming up for baits. Most were 16-19"with only as few mid 20's in the mix. Still huge numbers in that age class. Litter color didn't matter. From what I'm hearing they're still there.
