Took a trip out to Oregon to visit my oldest before he and his wife moved back to the Midwest this fall. As an afterthought, I grabbed my pack fly rod just in case I had some time to chase trout. Ended up spending most of my time trying to remember how the danged thing worked but did my damage on 8" -10" stocked rainbows on the area lakes. Too much rain for the rivers to be fishable, not that I didn't try. Ended up at Trillium and Frog lakes wishing I had a float tube and spent a fair bit of time on the Sandy and Salmon rivers.
