have you ever launched from Huron Ohio? The NWT walleye tourney just finished up their. Very nice launches and the big females will be coming thru that area in a few weeks. Average walleye in Nov. will be around 5-6lbs. bigger ones to 10+ in late November. Fishing shallow10-15ft.) at night is very good. If you looking for the biggest possible walleye you can catch Huron is the spot.

Four of us went on a 3 day charter while tournament at Huron was underway. The first day Wednesday 4 hours no walleyes, switched to perch 4 hours caught 32, next day 110 perch, Friday trip was cancelled due to weather. We fished out of Marblehead. Water was very dirty in the western basin. I would recommend going out of Huron for walleye, water not as dirty, see tournament report below. If perch fishing I would go of Port Clinton many limits last 10 days, see captain log report below.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Rated the best walleye anglers in the world, the field of 47 pro fishermen competing for the National Walleye Tour Championship on Lake Erie at Huron, Ohio had little trouble scoring a tournament limit of five fish on Wednesday.
“Guys were reporting catching 100, 120 walleye on Wednesday,” said Craig Lewis at Erie Outfitters in Sheffield Lake. "There are so many walleye out there, guys were catching and releasing walleye like crazy. “Finding the trophy walleye they’ll need to win will be the key, and the big winds on Thursday that shut down the tournament until (today) could be a problem, scattering the walleye.”

Heading to Erie. The weather looks ideal the next few days. Crossing fingers we will cross some 'eyes! Haven't heard much about the gaspergoo bite, however. Waddaya think? Bound to be a few around, right?

I was there a few weeks ago and the Goos were around. We did ok for both Perch and Walleye but not great. Water looks pretty muddy now so hope it clears up for you.

I forgot to post about the trip. Sorry.
We fished a few hours on Oct 26th, full days on the 27th and 28th, and a few hours on the 29th before we had to leave. We had a great trip. Wind was manageable the whole time. Biggest was 7.5 pounds. Lots of fish between 20"-24". We stayed in Marblehead and fished the East side of Kelleys Island the whole time. Boated over 45 wallys. Looking forward to my next trip there.

Wow! what a great weekend. The purpose of the trip was for a friend to test drive a used "new" boat, but what better way to test fishing boat than to go fishing. Plenty of walleyes around, but luckily, we were entertained by a few gaspergoos and more than a few chunky white bass.
