Went to Lake Erie last week and fished four days and two hours.  First day, boat got wet and then the afternoons storms came and we got wet. Two walleye close to the islands. Next day was windy and we moved east from the islands to where we could see boats riding the waves.  Couldn't find much activity in the lee of the islands so we manned up and hit the waves. Uncomfortable fishing, but we boxed our limits (four guys.)  Next day was calm and we banged 'm good in a few hours then went bass fishing by the islands. Caught about 20 smallies and a couple of white bass.  Wind the next day, but we fished a downwind troll and did okay then one final morning with a hard stopping time of 9AM.  Hit the ramp with 23 in the cooler.
Fish were smaller than expected with a lot of 16 to 18 inch fish.  Just a few in the 20s - largest was a 28.

We fished out of Oak Harbor with Impulse Charters on the 10th,11th and 12th. We limited out all three days. Friday we had an afternoon charter and limited in 2.5 hours trolling with 24 fish. Saturday we limited in 2 hours trolling with 36 fish. It was a crazy bite both days. Could not keep all of the rods in the water. We had a lot of shorts that went back into the lake. Sunday we casted and again put 36 fish in the cooler but this time it took us 4 hours. We were fishing northeast of West Sister island all three days. About a 16 mile run from Wild Wings marina. Had a great time with Capt John Seiler and first mate Lyle Behner.
