Everything seemed perfect. Oops, better check the trailer lights. Perfect, ready to go.
Out the door at zero dark thirty. Hop in truck - dead. Lights still switched on. Got 'er jumped and off I go.
Just about ready to back the motor into water when it dawns on me. NO PLUG. Then it further dawns on me, I know exactly where it is - back at home. Luckily, another captain was right behind me and had a spare. (I had a spare once - maybe 18 years ago - couldn't find it. Probably rusted away.) Set up at the ship canal, trolled for a while, then the thermos of coffee hit my bladder. Worst screw up of the day. NO PEE PAIL....
Caught some fish, lost some fish so it's game on from here.
