Fished 6a-12p. Ran 6 rods, lost track but boated 8 or 9 kings, most in the 10-12 range biggest mid teens, smallest around 8. Had 1 laker and 1 shaker, maybe a ho maybe mini king, also to the boat. Released everything to hopefully fight again. Had a couple clipped fish for sure, but it was mostly wild fish. Hoping they get a chance to make more kings since it’s seems like we’re really counting on natural repro. I fished all between the piers and state line 40-60 ft. Thanks DBF! Spoons on riggers any where from 17-55 down took most of the fish. Played with colors a lot, glow early UV when the sun was out and one on a kevorkian when it clouded up, SS, stingray, and standards. Boards with 5 and 7 colors pulling #3 j plugs pitched in 2 kings. Braid dipsy was good for another. Wire with 8” s/d or flasher fly was on rod not to get hit. Missed a good pull on the leadcore and had a couple of realizes with no one home on the riggers. Best fish hit as I was coming into the breakwalll at the end of the day. Had another release with no one home just prior so I stuck around trolling the mud line an extra hour. Bait was thickest right outside the harbor inside the mud line. Water was 53 in the mud, 50 everywhere else. Hopefully you guys get some fun in this weekend. I’m back to work for a stretch of 12,s starting tomorrow.

Good Job - I have heard a few reports this spring of Kings hanging inside the mud line. May be something to keep in mind when you go out - be a kid and play in the mud :)
