I'm in the market for 2 Leadcore rods to use with church boards. My existing eagle claw rods are rated M but are way too light.
Leaning to Okuma combos based on price. Suggestions?

I like my GLT lead core rods, with the telescoping handles, they work great!

I just bought another set of Okuma Classic Pro GLT Copper/Leadcore rods. The knots go through the smooth metal eyes nicely with copper. They are a great rod and can't beat the price.

North woods outlet has some good deals on the Magda reels and rod reel combos. They are in Michigan. Just received the Magda 45 for 39.99 each. They can also prespool with backer and copper for you

If you want something inexpensive and tough as nails, it's hard to beat the Diawa Wilderness 8'6" Medium Heavy. They were on sale at fishusa.com last week for $19.99 less 15% which almost covers shipping. I'm not in cahoots with Diawa. In fact, the PR people there are dicks. But I am frugal.

I agree BrotherNature - I have several of their rods and they are great. Calumet Marine carries them but not sure what the cost is there but will save you shipping charges.

I have a crap ton of wilderness rods. Good rod at a great price. Dont have to worry if someone steps on one. Hard to beat if you dont have endless funds.

Picked up a few of the wilderness rods. They are much beefier than my old rods, should work nicely for pulling lead/copper. Hopefully can give it a workout this weekend. Thanks for the recommendations.
